Director of Assistive Technology

One in six people in the UK will have a disability in their lifetime and we want to make sure that they have the opportunity to live their lives to their full potential.

Leonard Cheshire Disability is the UK’s largest voluntary sector provider of services for disabled people. Our services include high-quality care and community support together with innovative projects supporting disabled people into education, employment and entrepreneurship. Worldwide, our Global Alliance of Cheshire partners supports disabled people into education and employment, and works in more than 50 countries.

This is a hugely exciting new opportunity for you to develop, embed and lead a specialist assistive technology team which will support our organisational strategy to promote independence for disabled people across the world. 

You will have extensive experience and knowledge of assistive technology and tools, be highly customer focussed with the ability to identify and articulate solutions. You will also have outstanding communication and influencing skills and use these to network with and influence technology partners.

You will lead across the whole organisation to provide the expertise to support the adoption of assistive technology internally and for our customers, and be tasked with developing and implementing our assistive technology strategy.
