The Built Environment Access Panel (BEAP) is a group made up of members from the original Olympic Delivery Authority BEAP, members of the Stratford City Consultative Access Group (SCCAG) and local diverse community members and it is involved and consulted throughout all key projects on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The BEAP influence all key Park projects and as an example, were intrumental in ensuring that the Podium and Timber Lodge on the Park included accessible toilets, separate accessible baby change facilities, a Changing Places toilet facility and a multi-faith prayer room. The Timber Lodge and Tumbling Bay playground subsequently went on to win a Civic Trust Award and the Selwyn Goldsmith Award for Universal Design in 2014.
