Bala Nagendran M

Bala is an urban strategist and a climate practitioner from India. At GDI Hub, Bala works at the intersection of disability innovation and climate change, particularly focusing on energy access and inclusive design. With an academic background in architecture and urban studies, Bala has five years of professional experience working with international think tanks and delivering multi-sectoral infrastructure and policy programmes with a specific focus on sustainable development and participatory governance. He is also a UK-India Chevening Scholar, and his recent research at the London School of Economics and Political Science aims at framing an 'Inclusive Local Climate Action Agenda' through the lens of rights-based urbanisation and social justice.
